All right, this website is about Spokane. But come on. Seattle, you've got the SPACE NEEDLE. It's an icon, an emblem. It's not like people are going to meet "Sneedle" and say, "Hey, I wonder what this is all about, this so-called 'Space' Needle." Or, "This Sneedle chap is so awesome, I have to see the real thing right now!" What ad agency is responsible for this floparoo? And really what's with Sneedle's appendage atop his head? Is it how Sneedles reproduce? Is he just happy? Maybe he should be a mascot for a used needle exchange program.

old tyvek place
This is a landmark. A few years back, the Tyvek had all blown off/disintegrated. When you said, "turn right at the Old Tyvek Place," newcomers would not know what you were talking about. Thanks to community pride, vision and a staple gun, this useful landmark has been restored. May the Tyvek ever flutter in the crisp morning breeze!

Safeguarding our (Jeep) Liberty
This is in the parking lot of a social services govt outlet in Spokane. We've never seen anything like it here. Is this a common parking situation in bigger cities? I'm anxious to see how this plays out in the winter time.

Welcome to Spokane. Unbelievers beware of oral deathrays.
You can see this mural from Interstate 90 right before you exit. It may cause you to think twice about exiting. Don't worry, Yahweh's "LASER" mouth has been de-activated for repairs. And because of the city's budget crisis, there is talk of replacing it with a speaker connected to a phonograph. We are looking for corporate sponsorship (hint, hint... RADIOSHACK). We've got the UP WITH PEOPLE albums. Let's get going Spokane!
Use of a GEO Metro for housekeeping
Seen on the corner of Spokane Falls Blvd and Stevens this morning. I wonder how many hits this guy has had.
