KYRS PLEDGE DRIVE!

A reminder that this week is Pledge Week at KYRS! We don't receive any government funding. This radio station is paid for by you, the listener. That's the reason why we can bring you independent news and views and music you won't hear anywhere else. We are only beholden to you, and count on your support.

CALL 509-747-3807 TO PLEDGE LIVE!

It's an easy thing to do. And a base-level membership to KYRS is just $3 per month. And for every $36 per year donation we receive, Boots Bakery is going to donate a meal to Hope House.

Every pledge drive we do this, partner up with a business to provide something for those less fortunate in our community. Why? Because we are a part of the community! How big is our community? Our radio tower reaches all of eastern Washington and a little bit beyond. Our Internet feed reaches folks from around the world.

Thanks for listening to Out and About. In October, I will have been at it for four years - every Tuesday at 4 pm on 88.1 or 92.3 fm or streaming from KYRS.org. Like everyone else who has a show here, I am a volunteer. I've had the fortune of bringing such a diverse group of guests on the air, from Broadway stars to hunting camp operators, drywall experts to recording artists. The conversations have been fun and sometimes have made me cry.

We live in a wonderful place! And I am so lucky that I get to celebrate that with you. You can check out the archives here for all of KYRS shows. Or you can go to my show page. You can also search your favorite podcast app and you will be able to listen to the last month's worth of shows.

Thanks for listening. And thanks for supporting KYRS. Love, Maeve
