Today's Out and About - Artist Adam Bodhi!

Today on Out and About, I will be interviewing Adam Bodhi. Adam is an artist and fellow trans peep. I talked with Adam back in March when he was preparing for a gallery show at the Artisan’s Guild. I am looking forward to hearing what he has been up to and how life has been for him these days.

Adam is an interesting guy and we had a lot to talk about last time we met, so I am really looking forward to today’s conversation.

Yesterday's Out and About - Two wonderful performances by Inland Classical Theatre...

Yesterday on Out and About, I had the fantastic Inland Classical Theatre on to perform two short Anton Chekhov plays. The cast, crew, and directors did a wonderful job. The two plays were The Proposal and The Bear. The Proposal was directed by Jeffrey Ridlington with a cast of Sydney Anderson, Jerrod McDougall and Jo Fae. The Bear was directed by Joseph Selle and featured Casey Garcia, Babe Eyer, and Ali Aboud. Alex Blackmon ran the sound cues for both plays.

These plays were very funny and it was a real treat for me to be in the studio to watch as well as listen. Their performances really underscored what a gift this group is to Spokane. You can check out their website here.

If you missed yesterday’s Out and About, why don’t you have a listen here

Today's Out and About - Anton Chekov's The Proposal and The Bear - Performed by Inland Classical Theatre!

Today on Out and About, we are in for a real treat! Two short plays by Anton Chekov, presented by the wonderful Inland Classical Theatre. Brace yourself for some concentrated and intense entertainment for the 55 minutes of the show. As a bonus, all yours truly will be doing is running the board and making sure that the signal gets to our remote mountain fortress antenna and over the tubes of the interwebs.

The two plays are The Proposal and The Bear. Directing The Proposal is Jeffrey Ridlington and the cast is Sydney Anderson, Jerrod McDougall and Jo Fae. The Bear is directed by Joseph Selle and will feature Casey Garcia, Babe Eyer, and Ali Aboud. This is going to be a lot of fun and I hope you can join us. When someone asks you what you did today, you can reply “Oh I just enjoyed a couple of plays by Chekov performed by the Inland Classical Theatre, how about you?”

Yesterday's Out and About - PROOF!

Yesterday on Out and About, I had a fun and rollicking conversation with Jess Loomer, Skyler Moeder and Scott Worley. They were with me to talk about their theatrical production of PROOF. Jess is one of the actors, Skyler is the promoter and Scott directs and produces this very thought-provoking play. Because the story deals with mental heath and people who are intellectually gifted, we had discussions around these issues, as well and a lot of laughs! If you want tickets to the show, here is a link -  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/proof-tickets-1990722899782.

Yesterday's Out and About Chris Armitage and Dan Brown - The Existentialist Republic

Yesterday on Out and About, I talked with Chris Armitage and Dan Brown about Chris’ Substack site - The Existential Republic. we also talked about his latest books which are available free to download. These reads are a great tool for understanding why we are where we are, and what we can do to deny Fascists access to our lives.

Chris has so many irons in the fire and travels all over the country to talk about what we can do to resist this totalitarian regime and finding all the possible paths forward. Dan is busy too with a lot of activism in local Spokane Democratic politics. It was great talking with them both and we could have done another hour easily!
